just composed a few tips or my mother and thought i might share it with the rest of those keen to control weight..

- Make a shopping lift before you leave home so you must stick to it.

- Never shop on an empty stomach you wont feel peckish

- Make sure you read nutritional information for foods saying 99% fat free this can often be misleading, as they may contain excess amounts of carbohydreates

- When reading nutritional information be aware that the serving sizes are usually much less that you would consume

- Avoid that damned sweets isle at all costs

- Always try to compare nutritional information paying that little bit extra for whats better for you

- Always go for fresh ingredients, processed is usually rubbish for you.

- Chose 'low fat' over 'reduced fat'.. reduced fat doesnt necessarily mean its low just another advertising lure

- Always go for lean meats!

Also look into "healthy fats."

shop the outside aisles of the store, this is where the fresh and natural foods are such as veggi's and fruit:)
