I cant really make up my mind on whether or not to chow down on peanuts. Yes it does contain a good ammount of protein per 1/3 cup (15g) (Planters DRY ROASTED PEANUTS) but the fat/saturated content of it really breaks it (24 w/ 5 saturated).

if nay...what can you guys suggest on munching on when I get the craving? if I could get a good list of foods (minus veggies...I mean I cant just pull out some brocolli inside the bus really) that are as cheap.

let me know.

Almonds and Walnuts are better choices.

Fat/Saturated fat is not evil.

I agree with the above comments. Ideally go with walnuts, almonds, then peanuts. But peanuts taste so good!

It's funny how everyone is always so on about natural pb but then say eat almonds, heh.

Planters makes a mixed nuts (Southbeach I think) that has almonds, cashews and macadamia nuts in it. I usually buy that.

Peanuts are fine.

However, I usually like a blend of almonds and walnuts as walnuts have polyunsaturated fats and the almonds have monounsaturated fats. Cashews, pecans, hazelnuts, and peanuts are good too, though.

thats because natural almond butter costs like 8 times as much..... 10 bucks a pound here where as natural peanut butter is 1.40 a pound
