i am currently eating 6 meals a day, roughly every 2.5 hours...my first meal is pre-workout, second is post workout, and then i have 4 more, evenly spaced out...i was just wondering which meals i should be consuming my complex carbs vs fruits and vegetables? i know they are important to have first thing in the morning, and preworkout, but should i be eating them at night?? where should my focus be.

bulking = having carbs in 4-5 out of the 6 meals a day, yes breakfast is important and pre/post workout are CRITICAL and less is needed right before bed

cutting = main focus in first 3 meals of the day (breakfast, pre, and post workout) while the remaining meals are protein/fats

keep in mind that some people who are very restrictive in carbs (keto) only put carbs in the pre or post workout meals as those are the most important to have them in and oats are generally the rule of thumb for the best overall complex carb

Here's my carbs diet during a lifting day (all year long):

8:00 (hi complex carbs) :
cereals(kashi lean) + skim milk
1/2 cup of oat
Whey
Banana

!!cardio!!

10:00 (no carb) :
fish/poultry + veggies
water (500ml)


Noon (low carb) :
fish/poultry + veggies
bread(lowcarb,fatfree) or oat
apple
water (750ml)


3:00 (no carb) :
fish/poultry + veggies
water (500ml)


6:00 (60g hi complex carbs) :
Rice, pastas, sweet patatoes with fish/poultry + veggies
Fruit
water (750ml)

!!lifting!!

Post Workout (50g hi simple carbs) :
Dextrose 50g
Whey
water (750ml)


9:30 (no carb) :
fish/poultry + veggies
water (500ml)
