Do a lot of cardio. You will get leaned out to your bodies most efficient condition if they have their way (and they almost always do). I'm 6'2", went to boot at 180 lean muscle, came back at 165, rail thin with almost no bodyfat.

If you want to make your life easier while you are there, get extremely good at running, and bodyweight exercises.

Good luck, and thanks for volunteering to serve.

During IT (Incentive Training - AKA A$$kickings) they will have you do push ups to failure, then leg raises or flutter kicks to failure, then jumping jacks to failure, then mountain climbers to failure, and on and on. Then, when your DI runs out of new exercises, they will either let you go, or start over at the beginning depending on how pissed off they are.

Don't stop at pushups. ;)
