Here it is! A pizza with an amazing crispy crust. I do like the cheese that is just a little thicker than "finely shredded" It helps keep it together more.

Taco Pizza

1 lb lean ground beef
2 cups shredded mexican mix cheese/divided
1/2 cup low-sugar Taco Sauce
favorite toppings
your favorite mexican seasoning, to taste

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Meanwhile, brown the ground beef; drain.
Place meat in a mixing bowl and mix with 1 cup of cheese.
Spread the mixture into a circle on a round pizza pan or baking stone (I prefer the stone); and top with 1/2 cup sauce.
Top with the rest of the cheese, optional toppings and seasonings.
Bake for about 25 minutes or until cheese is melted and browned.

-----or-----

Italian Pizza
1 lb lean ground beef
2 cups shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese, divided
1/2 cup low-sugar pizza sauce (I use Ragu)
diced Canadian bacon
low-fat pepperoni
your favorite pizza seasoning, to taste

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Meanwhile, brown the ground beef; drain.
Place meat in a mixing bowl and mix with 1 cup of mozzarella.
Spread the mixture into a circle on a round pizza pan or baking stone (I prefer the stone); and top with 1/2 cup pizza sauce.
Top with the rest of the mozzarella, optional toppings and seasonings.
Bake for about 25 minutes or until cheese is melted and browned.

Not saying I don't believe you, but ground beef and cheese together are somehow forming a crispy crust?? I was thinking it was probably going to be an egg/cheese combo that formed the crust..

It does! lol Believe it or not..there's the pic. lol

It's really good. As I said, make sure you use the wider shredded cheese. The finely shredded doesn't do as well to form the crust.

Think of it like this...you know how when you cook cheese in the microwave it gets crispy and hard...it's the same concept. Except the beef cooks with it.

It works..trust me. The more cheese the better...
