View Full Version : First Day Cutting - How was my eating?

Today was my first day cutting. I am 220 lbs and 25% bodyfat. I've been training for about 6 months now, but I wanted to get my diet in order and lose some fat. My maintenance calories are 3100 so I'm shooting for about 2600 calories. Anyway, this is what I ate today (actually, 1 meal I'm going to have later), so how did I do?

10 am: 1 scoop whey mixed with 1 cup skim milk

12:00 pm: 5 egg whites, 1 whole egg, 1/2 cup oats

1:00 pm: Workout

2:30 pm: 1.5 scoops whey mixed with 1.5 cups skim milk and 30 g dextrose

4:00 pm: 6 oz chicken breast and 1/2 cup brown rice

7:00 pm: 4 oz lean steak, 1/2 cup mashed potatoes, 1 serving rice pudding sweetened with splenda

9:00 pm: 1 cup Honey Bunches of Oats cereal and 1 cup 2% milk

11:00 pm: 1 3 oz. can of tuna

1:30 am: 1 cup low-fat cottage cheese, 2 tablespoon natural Peanut butter

Calories: 2468
Fat: 65 g (25%)
Carbs: 189 (29%)
Protein: 273 (46%)

looks really good, right macross and good foods, one thing i would drop the sugar.. but thats just me.. i dont like having an energy cash later.. and 30 g is a lot of carbs when cutting...instead you can have more coplex carbs to make u feel fuller

oh and another thing get some fiber in there.... smooth those logs up for the morning ;)
