Is HST good for cutting or should I do more reps fewer sets?

thanks. A friend of mine who just became a trainer at NYSC told me to do my weight trainings and then immediately hit cardio with HIIT. Sounds kind of crazy IMO but he seems to know more than I do. What do you guys think of this?

Do HIIT on your off days, and low/mod intensity following your workout.

If you can do HIIT after your weight workouts, you really need to up your lifting intensity.

Sometimes I have to take the elevator down the one flight of stairs at my gym after weight days because I simply cannot walk down them. So you're saying HIIT in that condition wouldn't be good? Heh, heh.
