OK ... it's 7 p.m. and it's your own damn fault, but you just finished a meal and you're still 900 calories below quota. So in 2-3 hours, before bed, do you:

-- Eat 900 calories?
-- Eat 500 calories?

Or, eat more right now? And then again at 9-10?

Add a few tablespoons of olive oil and an extra tablespoon of pb to your pre-bed shake and hey presto, your close enough.

Now rep me! :D

You realize that 1 day will not kill you and stop stressing over silly **** like this.

If we didn't lose fat or gain muscle cause we made 1 mistake... nobody would reach their goal.

Eat if you're hungry, if not, just go to sleep.

Thanks Adam, I do realize that - I'm not stressed about today. But, it's my first attempt at adding controlled lean mass, so I'm still sorting out how to eat -- and what to do on those occasions when things don't go as planned during the day. Yesterday it was borderline too many calories by the time I was working through (evening) pre-workout, PWO, and post-post meal. Today the opposite. Just getting my balance here.

Carry some snacks with you.

I buy lots packaged nuts and carry them with me.

Anyway, I made a truly vile shake with CC, some whey, PB, and flax oil. That last was a mistake - some flavors just never go with chocolate. Ended up acceptably within range of target and with good macros for the day.

But the 24 hour clock is an easy way to measure calorie intake. I say that the last thing you want to do is go to bed hungry, and since you're bulking your best bet is to eat away, baby.

im just saying theres no reason to cram in 4-500 extra cals in your last meal when you can spread it out evenly the next day. He should still have his normal pre bed meal.

excess cals in one sitting will indefinately lead to fat gain...tis why we space it out over 6-8 meals........take your normal shake and be done with it.......
