One of the hardest parts of keto for me was the lack of chips, so last night when I was making a melted cheddar sauce, this idea jumped into my head and boy is it tastey.

One Microwave safe plate (large)
One half cup of cheese (shredded cheddar works well)
PAM
Garlic powder, pepper to taste

Spray PAM on the plate

Take your plate and spread the cheese into a close circle making sure it is crowded but not clumped and season

Microwave on high for 2 min

Remove and let sit for one minute for it to harden

There you go, now you have a tastey mock potato chip, I like to put these in my salads as croutans too. Enjoy

PAM is a no calorie cooking grease,
I also find these good dipped in sour cream or ranch. mmmmm... I gonna go make some now.

Tried this today along with a few other new recipes. They worked well. I just did an ounce on tea cup plate. I also put it on some parchment paper so that I didn't have to use PAM. I even blotted off some fat\oil. It took longer than I expected, but I was overcautious of burning them. Tasted good. I dipped mine in salsa, but guacamole would have been awesome.

PAM does have calories.

Holy cow..... this is amazing!

I used coconut oil on a plate, then sprinkled cheese in a liberally thin layer throughout, almost to the point of it not looking like it's enough, then cooked for two minutes.... foodgasm.

Yeah I love cooked cheese. We do it every so often. However I never thought about using the microwave...doh. Looks like I know what I'll be doing tonight.

this can be done with a myriad of cheeses... just slice it 1/8 in thick, put on parchment paper and cook until crispy. i like chedder, pepper jack, hot habenero, anything really

I tried this last night, I had some "All Dressed" popcorn seasoning and sprinkled in onto the cheddar before nuking. It was so good I had to force myself to stop after making 3 plates!!! There "are" a few carbs in the seasoning, but I am taking in so few that in isn't a big deal to me to get that little extra flavour.

I must've used too much cheese (shredded cheddar) because I just got a hard disk of cheese that I had to tear apart into chunks. There was nothing chip-like about my results...
