ham is often filled with sodium (217 for a thin slice in your case), nitrates and other preservatives. That being said, i still eat things like ham/sausage/bacon a couple of times a week, and it hasnt hurt my progress any. Its all about moderation. I wouldnt eat the stuff every day, but a couple times a week should be find

The sodium may cause some water retention, so dont get all upset when you weigh yourself later on after eating it haha. but that wont last too long.

eat up!

Avoid

(1) processed meats cause cancer (per WHO)
(2) 40%+ of calories coming from fat.
(3) An astonishing level of sodium (to get 30 grams of P, you would need 2 grams of sodium - that's terrible)

There are many better protein options (chicken, lean beef, fish, eggs, powders etc)
