i keep hearing people talking about oats in their cereal (liek steel oats and rolled oats). what are they? are they the same thing as oatmeal? what are the best companies of this food? i'd like to purchase some as i hear theyre high in protein.

ok thanks for the link, but what type of oats should i eat as a cereal? and what company? i live in canada by the way, so im not sure if we have all the same companies as in the US

Yeah, it's basically "Oatmeal", just a different name and differnt kinds. Like "Quaker oats". And people eat it for the carbs not the protein.

http://www.bobsredmill.com/catalog/index.php?action=showproducts&category_ID=27 is one of the good brands. Just stay away from "Instant" or "Quick".

Regular or Thick Rolled. You can eat it as cereal with milk or cook it like oatmeal.

WholeFoods sells oats. They have stores in Canada.

If you don't have a wholefoods or a store that sells the bobsredmill, just get Quakers Old Fashioned.

thanks man. one more question. if people eat it for the carbs, then arent they only good pre workout for the energy? i dont know any other time that you need tons of carbs for
