View Full Version : going to sleep hungry or full which is better?

If you're neither bulking or cutting and had to make a choice whether to go to sleep hungry or full or a less extreme slightly hungry or slightly full which would be better? Of course it's better to be within maintenance but sometimes you're put in these situations. For me if i start to eat at night time when im hungry i don't have the will power to stop at maintenance, i'll always go over.

I cant sleep when I am hungry. Or when I havent had many carbs that day.

I wouldn't suggest going to bed hungry. At least have a small meal. You don't want your body to be starving at night.

I usually lift late evening and there have been a few days where I can only get 6 hours of sleep or so, because I'm starving and it wakes me up. Now I have a 200 kcal snack right before bed.

Man, your body goes without food for 8 hours... I cant sleep knowing its starving itself, I always down my CC before bed, then im out like a light.

If your body is starving for food, feed it. Simple as that but only enough to satisfy itself.

Spoiling your stomach is a no-no unless your cheating.

man i am eating right now:
1 apple
70 g of brazil nuts=480 cals
Cottagge cheese+banana+whey+soya milk 250 g +pb=shake all in 1 cup.
all that replaces GB/WB stack..:)

last night I ate an enormous salad with mustard greens, turnup greens, spinach, lettuce, carrots, green peppers, hot pepper cheese, black olives, and a chicken breast -all with a little zero fat ranch.

It was amazing and I slept like a rock, only to wake up this morning energized and ready for my am workout.

When I go to sleep hungry I wake up tired and weak.
