list all kinds of high protine sources you eat here! i only eat tuna and steak..any other ideas?

btw, is it ok to take whey protine in other times than post-workout as a meal replacement protine source? or is beeing fast-absorbed is not a good thing?

yes, you can definatley take whey at other times as well...say right before bed. If your worried about the fast absorbtion, which you should be if your taking it right before bed. Take it with some milk, or have a bowl of cottage cheese at the same time.

As for foods with high protein, its the same old stuff everyone always talks about.

Chicken, steak, salmon, tuna, eggs, skim milk, peanuts, cottage cheese etc..

Turkey breast is very high along with chicken breast. Then comes steak, salmon, tuna and eggs. Most cheeses have an extremely high amount of protein but a lot of fat as well so its better to stay away from them.

dry curd cottage cheese (nasty) but super high protein... 20g. per 1/2 cup!!!

how long does it take for non liquid protein like chicken or fish or steak to digest before u can eat protein again and how much solid protein should u eat at once like 40 grams 30 grams?.. and how much liquid protein can u digest at once and how long does it take to digest...

I eat 70g plus at once... then eat 2hrs. later... who cares... it's post workout... who knows how much I absorb... the more the better :D

eat whatever you need to make your daily protein intake... if that comes out to 35g. per day fine... 40 fine... 50 whatever...

but i thought if u eat like 80 grams of protein at once then u only use some of it for muscle repair and the rest gets used for energy...

post-workout... your body can absorb alot!!! simple as that... better to have more than less...

what of someone works a construction job where they are outside 8-10 hours per day. How can they take in 30-50grams protein every 2 hours??

Do some of you guys have no jobs in which you can stay home and eat every 2 hours???

actually, your body does have a threshold for how much protein it can absorb.

if you have too much protein, it leaches calcium from your body. not good.

yes, and you can replensih that calcium with a teaspoon of milk!!! that was dumb post... FALSE INFO!

this is why we have meal replacements, etc... you can easily eat something quick every 2.5 hours.

caesin/egg - fine any other time BUT pw

stick with food, it's the best choice during the day... and 1 shake pw

I take 50g. of whey... then I eat two huge chicken breasts 45min. later... together the 2 chicken breast are way over 70g. of protein...
