What are some good lean meats and what is the best way to prepare them. Ever since I started my new diet a week ago the only meat I've been eating is chicken.

There's nothing wrong with some very lean ground beef every now and then, or some lean cuts of steak. I make hamburgers on my George Foreman grill all the time...I don't think I could live on tuna a chicken alone.

I cannot eat Tuna. It's been about 4 years since I last tried it. I just can't get over the smell and can't bring myself to try it again.

I stick to the following:

Chicken
Some Fish* (grouper, nile perch... etc.. not fishy fish)
beef (steaks, hamburgers)
Turkey
Bison

Awesome, thanks for the replys guys. And yeah I have a Foreman too and man that thing really does cook out a ton of the fat. I'll go buy some fish and lean beef today.

Lean steak, lean pork (not that I eat it, I don't like pork much), Lamb, Chicken, Turkey, are all good meats.

Lamb steak and turkey especially.

How about ground turkey? There's plenty of things you can make with that.

There are tonnes of deli meats that are very low in fat. Most will even say it on the packing. If you are unsure turkey breast and ham are two good choices.

Buy London Broil and grill w/ Montreal Seasoning and Bell Peppers. Top round is also pretty lean. Avoid Ribeyes or filets. NY strip may be ok if trimmed.

I feel the same way about Tuna, Try Chicken in a can. Also good meats for on the go, Beef Jerky and Turkey Jerky!
