Do they give any energy at all honestly?? Or do they basically pass through like fiber? In other words...if I were to burn toast or a yam to a crisp would it yield any calories/energy?

well, i wouldn't say it's "worthless" all together, but you won't get near as much nutritional value. it goes the same with fast cooked foods too. like, if you cook your chicken or eggs on a high heat to get 'em ready to eat quick, you won't get as much out of them as if you slow cook them.

Wtf?

Burnt food can cause some problems. I started having some digestive problems when I ate a lot of burnt steak. (1-3 times a week) I liked the taste better but my stomach didn't after a couple months.
