So, I have decided to use Winter Break to shed some poundage. I have been looking around the forums for a guide to doing so... in particular, I am looking for how many calories I should be consuming this period (I am about 230 pounds), and the type they should be (% in protein, % in carbs, etc). I was hoping to find some stickies containing this information, but I could not. Could someone point me in the right direction, ie, link me to a site, thread, or just post their opinions or what is considered "ideal" when cutting? I appreciate the help.

Ok, so I've determined that my total daily calorie needs are 4326.414 per day, and if I wanna lose weight, I'll need to cut it by 500-1000 cals per day. How should my diet be distributed in terms of percentages between protein/carbs/etc?

dont worry about diet. get in the gym and train your butt off. everything else will follow.
