Today is pretty indicative of my diet in general and I just wanted some input. Keeping in mind that I'm 6'0" 160 lbs and trying to build muscle.

6AM - 1/2 cup steel cut oats
4 egg whites & 1 whole egg
1 slice ww bread w/ natural peanut butter

9AM - 1 scoop ON whey in 10 oz 2% milk
1 sweet potato

12PM - 2 slices ww bread w/ 4 oz turkey, lettuce, tomato & onion
Piece of fruit, apple or banana

3PM - Pre-workout, similar to 3rd meal, but w/ sweet potato instead of fruit

6PM - Post workout, Protein shake w/ 50 g protein, 1 sweet potato, 1 roll, 1 cup mixed vegetables

9PM - Casein protein shake w/ 30 grams casein, 1 cup soy milk, 1 banana, 1 scoop natural peanut butter & 1 tbsp. flax seed

by my calculations its closer to 3000 cals. I thought that white bread was good after a workout cuz its higher GI and replaces gycogen better... Am I wrong on that one?

Yes you're wrong. Gatorade or quick oats are better.

thanks for the info. HFCS seems to be the devil of processed foods. what does it do, and how do companies get away with saying that their product is 100% natural when the product has HFCS in it. I'm still looking for the f'ing tree that HFCS grows on... lol.
