How would i go about improving my grip for say palming a basketball?

You're going to need big hands first.
Second, work your forearms.

rock climbing did wonders for my grip!!

i also don't use straps for back movements until i absolutely have to. i'm getting to the point where i barely need straps for deadlifts......but then again i don't use that much weight :D

hammer away at your forarms like you would any other part. don't neglect them!!!!

Geoff Capes has one of the strongest grips in the world at 151 lbs per square inch and he pretty much puts it all down to doing all his lifts with out straps

lots of b'ballers do a drill with two peple where they grab a ball one handed and try to pull it off the other
