put extra protein in them, or use milk.

Here's what I do and they come out really creamy:
70g Oats
1 1/2 Scoops Whey
5 Ice Cubes
5oz Peeled Banana
1-1.5 Cups Water

It won't look like a lot in the blender but the thing is you have to let it go for a while in the blender and it will gradually get really thick and creamy. I usually leave it in the blender for 2-3 minutes on high and it will gradually take up more and more volume. Try it out yourself. I love my shakes.

oats, ice, peanut butter, milk, and a favorite of mine xanthan gum. They all thicken up a shake really good. So does sugar free jello pudding mix.

beleive it or not, try sticking a baked potato in there, mmmm great stuff. Canned pumpkin is also pretty good. Kinda like a pumpkin pie :D make sure you use vanilla whey though.

less water + lots of ice + xanthan/guar gum

Add fat (from nuts) if you want and it increases the thickness

If you use bananas, try freezing them and blending them while they're frozen. Thickens the shake up quite a bit and makes it delicious.

If you're feeling crazy you could toss in some ice cream. Just try not to make it a habit ;)

Exactly what I do....I freeze the bananas and when I throw em in the shake it comes out extremely thick and frothy....awesome!
