View Full Version : Need Help with CLEAN bluk diet??

Hi I'm 24 yrs old 6'1 175lbs probably 12-14% body fat

I started working out about 2 months ago and have been trying to diet for the past three weeks and started taking creatine. I seem suck i'm 175 pounds I' trying to gain a .5lb or 1lb week I'm actually down to 174 today kinda depressed. I 'm getting stronger in the gym and SEEM to be getting a little size. Here is my diet so ya'll can help.

4:00 am
Pure Pro protein drink 35g protein/1carb/170 cals
2 pieces of toast

6:30 am
Pure Pro protein drink
sugar free jello

8:30 am
1 chicken brest
sugar free jello

11:30
1 chicken breast
1/2 green beans

1:30pm (pre workout)
1 extra lean hambuger patty 25g protein 4grams fat 0 carbs
2 packets of instant oatmeal (regular kind no sugar)

3:30
workout

4:30 post workout
Mass recovery drink 35 protein 60 grams carbs

6:00
20oz top sirloin steak
1/2 cup green beans

8:00pm befoe bed
1/2 fat free cottage chesse
2tbsp Natty PB
12oz Fat free milk

I'm the same age as you, probably a little heavier taking into account I'm a lot shorter but my goal is pretty much the same. One thing I noticed looking at your diet real quick is I try to have a good serving of complex carbs with each of my meal- eg. protein shake and a bowl of oatmeal at breakfast, chicken breast and a cup of brown rice at lunch etc. Have you actually tried calculating the calories there by the way? Dosn't look like a whole lot at a glance.

MAKE SURE THE BREAD IS 100% WHOLE WHEAT

DONT MAKE JELLO A STAPLE IN YOUR DIET...ONCE IN A WHILE ITS FINE, BUT NOT EVERYDAY. ALSO, IT SEEMS LIKE YOU RELY TOO MUCH ON SUPPS...HAVE MORE WHOLE FOOD PROTEIN SOURCES

8:30 am

ADD VEGGIES, FATS, AND COMPLEX CARBS

11:30

comments in the quote in CAPS. this diet needs some work. IMO it looks more like a cutting diet. Go to fitday.com and see how many calories, etc this is...
