Does one really need a fat burners to reach low bodyfat levels?

I am not against anyone using them but i always get a feeling that it is all about benjamins. We all know that fat burners like EC may help 2-5% in dieting but that means you are doing 95% of your stuff right and by all means you should get results. i mean all the hype created by these fat burners just benefit the companies making them not the consumers. Correct me if i am wrong or feel free to add your views.

I always wonder at what point fat burners are truely necessary, if at all. I.e. if you're at 25% and want to cut that in half, versus you're at 12% and want to get down to 9-10%. I'm curious if people also use it to get rid of that pesky fat that doesn't go away with regular cardio/lifting.
