i have been on a good diet for 1 month and have gained about 4 pounds. I eat 6 times a day, mainly protein doing a max-ot workout along with cardio. and i still gain weight. what is the problem??

Ever heard of muscle? Adding it will add weight.....

yeh but i didnt even get any leaner. how come i cant lose FAT becuause thats the diet im on.

How many calories do you eat, Height, Weight, BF%.

i eat about 2300 calories. im 6'0'' and 194 lbs. with about 17% bodytfat

Sounds like a good diet plan. How are you so sure you're not getting leaner?

Remember, if you body figures it's time to put on muscle, it only needs to use 300 calories to make a pound of muscle. That's why if you're new to lifting you can make large muscle gains while losing fat.

300 calories for what. What is the breakdown. DO you mean like say 40 grams of protein x 4 calories = 160calories, but that 40g is going into the muscle? I'm unclear here. Is it 300 calories of effort to built that one pound of muscle?

k thanks alot guys, im golnna keep going for a couple more weeks to see if i get leaner and ill post back with pics hopefully.

btw im in bayonne
