View Full Version : how often do you guys eat?

when i was in high school and thought i was working out i would eat 4 times a day. now my day looks like

8:00 breakfast
11:00 preworkout
1:00 post workout ( shake)
2:00 meal 4
4:14 meal 5
6:15 meal 6
9:15 meal 7
12:00 meal 8

sometimes ill eat again between meals 6-7

this is all clean food, its all planned, im making great gains, but im eating 8 freaking times a day!? anyone else find they eat really really often?

I try to eat often, but it's getting kinda hard for me now, usually I eat something like this though.

6:00 AM: Pre-Workout
7:30 AM: Post Workout
2:00 PM: Lunch
4:30 PM: Snack
6:30 PM: Dinner
8:30 PM: Snack
10:30 PM: Snack

Then I go to bed and repeat the next day, keep in mind the snacks I eat aren't really snacks, their just not full meals, just like a tuna sandwhich or something.

i start eating when i get home from school at 1pm and eat till 9pm and i make healthy whatever to hit macros, always 250g protein min 55g of fat and carbs vary 50-350(cycle carbs)

IF Rocks, heh i wake up wash up go to school and don't have to worry about cooking untill i get home when im actully awake. So i can sleep late.

i used to grub like 8-9x a day. basically every 2 hours but that **** was gettin ridiculous. my ex hated it because i basically was always at home having to eat my next meal. now i eat when i get hungry, which sadly is about every 3 hours. sometimes ill go 4 hrs w/o eating, i try not to go any longer than that

So your not eating until 1pm??? what time you going to bed and waking up? Looking in from the outside...that is an awful long time w/out food....You can probably see some better results w/ better nutritional timing.

it looks like the same thing i'm doing. IF, indeed rocks. larger meals, less frequency, less containers, less cooking time, etc and my gains are still the same as when i was eating 6 meals a day. we are still getting the same calories/macros, just in a smaller eating window.

I eat as often as I feel hungry. Usually that's 6-8 times per day. Sometimes more, sometimes less... depends on how much I eat at each meal.

as a hardgainer, i eat probably 4 to 7 meals a day with about 20g-50g of protein per meal... and it's probably 90-95% clean. so i eat proper meals every 2 to 3.5 hours normally, which takes up so much time (cooking, etc).. feel like i spend most of my day eating/cooking. it is a bit obsessive especially when you explain to others how often you 'must' eat.

for real. ppl look at me like im crazy when i tell em i have to eat that often, but f*ck it. i figure eating healthy now will spare me in the future from having to buy medications for blood pressure and diabetus. it's ridiculous tho how much more expensive it is to eat healthy that it is to get a fattening ass burger for 1-2 bucks; insanity i tell you
