Anyone evr heard of it? I have a mild case of it. it's where your body can't absorb the nutrients from your food much and you can't gain weight. Trying to get big, this poses a problem. I need gluten free foods (can be absorbed) - anyone know any good gluten free carb sources?

I have a friend who has Celiac. The best alternative to gluten-containing foods is rice. Also, corn meal as long as it does not contain any wheat products.

One unfotunate thing is that you have to avoid eating nearly all ready-to-eat meals or prepackaged foods. A lot of things contain gluten that you would not expect.

There is a huge amount of information on Celiac Sprue on the web. Here's a link you might find helpful:

Here's a long list of gluten-free "grains" and some things you should avoid:

Even though you can't eat ay wheat products, you can still enjoy a lot of different foods. You just have to be careful about how you prepare them and what you choose to eat.

Good Luck!
