What do you usually have for breakfast?

Personally, breakfast is probably my favorite meal of the day. I can eat tasty higher glycemic carbs without as much guilt. I usually have a bowl of cereal (my latest favorite is quaker essential oatmeal squares) with skim milk, a banana or some yogurt, and for protein either a scoop of ON Whey or 6 egg whites.

i love breakfast too. since my body doesn't do well with oats (severe gas), i usually have a waffle, bowl of cottage cheese or egg whites, some sort of fruit and a lot of water.

Well, I eat breakfast at 7:30PM, but I eat a big bowl of oats with bananas. Then I mix up my pre/during/post WO shake, and about an hour after working out I eat about 4 whole eggs or an mrp w/whey. I consider all of this breakfast. I continue to eat oats and eggs all day, really, no fixed meal plan, whenever I feel a twinge of hunger, I destroy it.

Currently my breakfast is:

- 80 grams oatmeal
- 1 banana
- scoop of whey
- 15 grams of wheatgerm (for extra fiber)

It kicks ass. When I bulk I eat more oats + I add milk to breakfast to up the calories.

Am I correct in assuming that oats should not be eaten alone? That they should be eaten with some type of protein?

I have been eating one packet of quaker regular oatmeal every morning, sometimes with a cut up banana, is this ok?

Thanks,
S.

I'm British, and I call them oats. Cooked oats in water/milk is called porridge. The raw, uncooked product is called oats or porridge oats.
