I have searched but I just wanna make sure this is ok. I just had 1/2 cup cottage cheese (lowfat) and a protein shake with fat free milk .. This is ok right.. I'm trying to maintain and maybe gain a little bit more but that won't turn to fat right.. I know you need a slow digesting protein before the night so this should be good right?

Yes - that should suffice. You could throw in some fats (i.e. flax, fish) to slow protein absorption even further.

If you want to get real picky make sure that protein shake is casein.

PS - Just because you eat something late at night (i.e. carbs, fat, ect.) does not mean it will turn straight into fat. It largely depends on your macro cal intake/daily activity of the day and how your body responds to certain things.
