Kobe has the most talent, but the best overall basketball player imo is Steve Nash. Basketball is a team sport, and when it comes to getting the whole team involved and working together, he is the best in the business.

If Dwyane Wade didn't get injured walking to his mailbox every morning, I'd have him exactly where you put him.

Kobe no doubt.

Some unmentioned names who are good

Melo-I see him as a very good scorer, hes consistant
Shaq- He might be old, but he changes games
T-mac- Although he garenteed the playoff series win, and lost. He is still a very good forward.

No love for Dirk 2007 mvp?

I'm not one to bash writerman b/c I too consider Wilt the GOAT, but yeah, if that statement was made on realgm writerman would respond with a post of roughly 20,000 words, detailing the time he saw Wilt dunk from halfcourt, and how he heard Chamberlain once benched 1,100lbs...with one hand.

This would of course be countered by Jordan23forever, who would spout out some **** about Jordan.

Then a Kobe-jocker would chime in about how Kobe and MJ are basically the same player, and how Jordan is overrated and Hakeem was the best player from that draft.

After which Jordan23forever would respond with a post of no less then 2,500 words, 99% of which are just "revisionist" and "history" repeated over and over again.

And then a Raptor fan would make his way into the thread to let everyone know that "Anthony Parker = GOAT"...however, this is quickly countered by an influx of "Diener = GOD" posts.

Man, I love realgm...

No love for Dirk 2007 mvp?Are you seriously trying to argue that any of those players are the best in the NBA (C-U-R-R-E-NT-L-Y-!-!-!)?

in no particular order:

wally scerbiak
steve nash
dirk novitski
jason kapono
mike miller
andrew bogut
peja(sp) stoyakovic

who am I forgetting?

btw Larry Bird is the greatest of all-time in the NBA and Bobby Hurley in NCAA

Garnett
09-25-2007, 04:20 PM
WOW at some of the list, but we all have our opinions.

At 4 positions
PG: Nash
SG: Kobe/Wade
SF: Lebron
PF: Duncan

Honorable mention to Dirk, Garnett, Billups (underrated IMO), and several more I'm sure I'm forgetting.

lol nice, I hope your naming sarcastics.

Everyone of those players are among the best SHOOTERS in the league, no way in the hell best allround players. Not one of those players plays good D.

Dirk and Nash are good allround playesr though, rest are pretty one dimensional.
