Flax oil is the plant kingdoms form of EFA's.

It is dirt cheap, and good for you. You will not however reap as much of the benefits that DHA/EPA exert from for instance fish oil for heart protection, etc. though. The parent of Flax is ALA and though it "can" be broken down by the body into the DHA/EPA, it is not done with efficiency.

Don't get me wrong, I am not condemming flax, just may find it wise to use both along with monosaturated fats for your fat intake.
