NO ROOKIES

Only post your bulking diet if it has worked for you

Sticky? (it would clear up alot of repeating questions on the message board)

diets are a person specific thing, unlike sleeping (everyone needs 8-10 hours min.) and lifting (the same basic split can be re-used from person to person) you can't list bulking diets b/c each person has different caloric requirments. We also have different access to different foods. Something that i can get cheap and easily here on the east coast might not be so readily available to others. For example i can't get ground turkey breast here, but at home its all over the place. People need to come up with their own diets. Using someone elses will only give mediocre results. I would be a tub-o-lard if i did a 4000calorie bulk like some on here. and if they did my 3000calorie bulk they wouldn't gain an ounce.

too many people rely on what others have done without know WHY they were done a certain way. learn what your body needs. same stats dont mean ****.

OK since no one else has really answered you...

Started bulking 1/31 at 188.5, about 10% bf (all abs visible)

204 lbs this morning, about 14% bf (top abs visible, bloated gut from hell)
5'7
24 yrs

4386 kcal 35/50/15

356g pro
595g carb
69g fat

Thats 10.5 cups of oats and 10 servings of elite whey, typical for nonlifting day like today, spread over 7 or 8 meals. On lifting days I replace 2 cups of oats for .5 cup dextrose for PWO, which is around 100g carbs exchanged.

I do cardio 2x week 50 mins at avg 135 BPM heart rate on stationary bike. The 350 or so cals I do I add onto daily caloric requirements those days and eat more to get there.

I lift DC style 3 days a week.

Dude, your taking in too many cals if youve gained 4% in a month and a half... you dont need to eat that much too grow if your gaining fat. Remember it takes time to grow not just food.

Yeah. Weekends I cheat a few times like popcorn or dinner out.

This diet is boring as **** but with 1.5 cups of oats in a meal you stay full and don't think about eating other food trust me.

Yeah I think you're right. I just did the math and that would be 2 lbs of fat for every lb lean gained.

I was bulking from about Oct. till now. I weighed myself at 215 over christmas and just weighed myself this weekend before my cutting phase at 232.5.

My food list:
oatmeal 1-1.4 cups
4 protein shakes (2 scoops each)
3 chicken breasts
salads
lots of skim milk
potatoes
ramen noodles
rice
cottage cheese
and i ate out a lot, but mostly what i would have at home (chicken, salads..)
no pop (i haven't drank pop for about the past 6 years)

i gained fairly steadily and still kept it at about 8-9%bf. i have a perfect metabolism. it seems like anything i eat will help me gain muscle.

well atleast i'll try:

for bulking i like to eat:
Pasta
Oats
Bread
Steak
Pork
Chicken
Broccolli
Beans
Potatoes
Eggs
hamburger
rice
turkey
natural peanut butter
tuna
fruits of all kinds....

Cutting gets shortened up alot:
i stick to the same things and it often gets pretty boring fast during a cut:
Oats
egg whites
wheat bread
very little fruit
brocolli
cauliflower
lettuce
turkey
chicken
tuna
No fat milk
