I was wondering every day, I eat 3 whole eggs for breakfast (along with oatmeal, ect) and I've noticed many people just eat the "white" part.

Is it really that much more beneficial to eat just the white part of the egg, opposed to the whole egg?

no, people just eat the white because its pure protein with no fat.

The yolk is were all the vit's and minerals are at.

I usually use about 1 whole for every two whites. My breakfast is 6 white, 2 yolks, oats, and some type of fruit. Good to go.

in addition to the fat, people are usually concerned with the cholesterol levels inside the yolk, but studies have shown that there is no connection between dietary cholesterol and your cholesterol levels.

the yolk's the best part, IMO. i usually eat 6 whole eggs for breakfast.

x2....personally i would recommend eating the whole egg, cause most of the nutrients come from the yolk....but hey, even i have days where i eat just a ton of whites and no yolks...it all comes down to fitting it into your macros and some people, especially those who are cutting, have trouble doing that sometimes, so they stick to the whites so they can at least keep their protein intake high...eggs are one of the best protein sources available

don't waste half the egg... eat the yolk. It has protein and other nutrients in it. The only reason not to eat it would be if the fat content doesn't fit in your macros, but I would just cut fat out of another meal instead. or just not worry about it.

I'm going to shoot myself if I see another "Whole Egg or Egg White" thread.
Use the SEARCH FUNCTION. And eat the whole darn egg!

I agree - there should probably be a sticky about eggs actually.

to add to this.. the liquid egg whites and the liquid eggs (yolks and whites) that you get from food lion have the same exact values for protein and fat and calories. So why bother with it. maybe everyone else on this thread is seperating the yolk from the eggs and not referring to the liquid eggs??
