anything wrong with getting most of your cals from milk? I seriously drink 2 gallons a day and have been getting decent gains, anything inherintly wrong with this? It has decent carbs, a mix of slow and fast protien, and decent fats.

That is a LOT of milk.

My only cocern would be you getting too many non-solid food calories.

A Gallon a day would be my limit.

Milk is great for muscle-building. I read an article about a group of people who drank milk after workouts compared to a group of people who didnt include milk post workout, and the people who drank milk gained more muscle and lost more fat in a shorter amount of time!

I think drinking plenty of milk is good, but you might want to cut it down a little, and get some calories in with fiber.

Are you using nonfat/skim milk or whole? Be careful. If you are drinking whole milk w/ foods, you might be getting in too much fat.

wow... 5-6k a day is a lot. Do you need that much?

You need to be a large person who is very active to use that much.

I'd say 2-3 servings of skim or 1% a day should be the limit.

That's a lot of milk bro. Depends on what your trying to do. If you just need a lot of calories and going to bulk then go for it! Just know that there is a ton of sugar in milk. About 8 grams every cup.

If you are drinking that much milk, which I wouldn't recommend, make sure you are using a brand without hormones.

Doesn't milk contain casein protein which slows down metabolism?
