1 large egg (white only) is 17 calories, 3.5g protein
1 large egg (yolk only) is 59 calories, 2.8g protein (+ 5.1g fat)

I was told there were 11 grams of protein in a full egg.

Why bother making eggs for only 6.3g of protein?

Through my research a couple of years ago i came to this;

whole egg: 8g protein, 6g fat, 86 calories

yolk: 5g protein, 6g fat
white: 3g protein, 0 fat

I usually make a protein drink consisting of 3 whole eggs, 1 banana, and 4 DL milk, which gives me about;

41g protein
22 g carbo
19 g fat
----------------
423 calories

Nota Bene: Now I dont know how eggs are in different parts of the worls in terms of protein/carbos, but I dont think it varies more than +- 1g.

You were told wrong :D Otherwise, that's a damn big egg

Tell that to the chicken.

I could see that being right for a very large egg (do you remember the average weight of the eggs you used?)

I got my information from the USDA Standard Nutrient Database, and it is based on a 50g egg

It also all depends on the size of the egg. I was at the supermarket today, and I picked up some "jumbo eggs" which have 8g protein each and 5g fat. Then there are also "extra large" eggs and "large eggs" (the everyday egg), which have 6g protein and 4.5g fat (one of their eggwhites having only about 4g protein).
