Exactly one month until the regular season begins, and the dynasty retakes the field to reclaim the throne.

It's got to be scary for the rest of the league, knowing that the team that's won half of the last six Super Bowls is fielding it's best team ever.

This thread will chronicle the New England Patriots run to Super Bowl title #4.

Patriots Nation, join me.

Strange how this comes out now instead of before the game was over (which was the start of the 3rd quarter I believe). If you guys backpedal any faster you'll fall out of your chair.

And Sox fans are just like Yankees fans, very blessed and always backing the team. We naturally hate you NY guys. Don't take it personally but you feel the same about us. Sources: Camera confiscated after claims of Pats spying on Jets

NFL security confiscated a video camera and its tape from a New England Patriots employee on the team's sideline during Sunday's game against the Jets in a suspected spying incident, sources said.

The camera and its tape were placed in a sealed box and forwarded to the league office for investigation, the sources said.

"We don't have any comment," an NFL spokesman said Monday.

The Patriots' cameraman was suspected of aiming his camera at the Jets' defensive coaches who were sending signals to their unit on the field, the sources said. The league also is investigating some radio frequency issues that occurred during the game.

The league's competition committee could conduct a conference call about the incident, which violates NFL policy, and ultimately recommend a penalty that could cost the Patriots a future draft pick or picks if it verifies that the team was spying on the Jets.

"It's not their first time," a member of the committee, who did not wish to be identified, said.

In fact, Green Bay Packers president Bob Harlan confirmed a similar incident that occurred when the Patriots played at Lambeau Field last Nov. 19. The same cameraman who was questioned by NFL security on Sunday was also the one whom the Packers removed from the sideline and escorted from the field during their 2006 game, according to Packers security official Doug Collins.

"From what I can remember, he had quite a fit when we took him out," Harlan said. "We had gotten word before the game that they [the Patriots] did this sort of thing, so we were looking for it."

A Jets official declined comment Monday, directing an inquiry to the league office. The Patriots also did not have immediate comment.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has determined that the New England Patriots violated league rules Sunday when they videotaped defensive signals by the New York Jets' coaches, according to league sources.

NFL security officials confiscated a camera and videotape from Patriots video assistant Matt Estrella on the New England sidelines when it was suspected he was recording the Jets' defensive signals. Sources say the visual evidence confirmed the suspicion.

Goodell is considering severe sanctions, including the possibility of docking the Patriots "multiple draft picks" because it is the competitive violation in the wake of a stern warning to all teams since he became commissioner, the sources said. The Patriots have been suspected in previous incidents.

The Patriots will be allowed an opportunity to present their case by Friday, sources said, most likely via the telephone.

The league also was reviewing a possible violation into the number of radio frequencies the Patriots were using during Sunday's game, sources said. The team did not have a satisfactory explanation when asked about possible irregularities in its communication setup during the game.

Goodell is expected to have a decision no later than Friday but that is not set in stone.

The league refused comment but did confirm Monday that they were reviewing a possible violation by the Patriots.

why will the boys prevail

i have nothing against your opinion, you are entitled to it but you didnt give any reasons as to why they will win, you were just wishfully thinking

i would say.....offensively that the Pats are just a smudge better cuz Brady takes care of the ball a little more than Romo, but to me pats and boys are 1 and 2 in offense

defensively Pats are a top 3 team and arguably the #1 defensive team, i dont think the boys are even top 10 despite having played bad teams

if the game is at NE thats another advantage
obviously anything can happen but i dont see why the cowboys SHOULD win, they can, but to me, clearly the Pats SHOULD win

Negatron617

Agreed, it was ugly but this is what championship teams do: They win and make the nessisary plays when it counts. Next week is the true test. Like it or not America's team is back and when we are knocked down, we get right back up.

Well I'm a Cowboy's fan so of course I'm going to say that they well prevail :) But after tonight's win with Romo's crappy performance the Cowboys will have a ton of confidence. Also, the Pats are playing in Dallas which is another factor to think about.

Our defense only gave up 3 pts tonight. Granted the Bill suck due to all their starters out, but you have to give the Cowboys credit for not giving up.

The game can go either way.

I think Brady is already 3-4 touchdowns ahead of Manning the year he broke the record. If you average up the games he has left he has to get about three touchdowns a game to tie it. If he has another 4-5 touchdown game he could very well pass it.

Games left this season for NE
Miami
Wasington
Indy
Buffalo
Philly
Baltimore
Pittsburgh
NY Jets
Miami
Ny Giants

He has the potential to score 4 tds passes against any of these teams let alone 3. I see at leat two more games maybe three 4 td games before the end of the season.

I cant say Manning is better than Brady, if he is you need a microscope to see it

the main difference of both QBs is that Peyton is a little more accurate and has a stronger arm
but Brady is better at feeling the pressure coming than Manning is

I think they both cancel each other out

but look what Brady is doing now that he has receivers like Manning has always had
now that he has receivers he is on pace to break all of Mannings record

so to me....they are even....one can one and only one thing better than the other

and wtf has Brady done to anybody personally to be hated?

I personally love this. After week one everyone was saying the only way the Patriots could win was to cheat. So he's basically just telling everyone to go f themselves.

Everyone shut the **** up about running up the score. Its beating a dead horse, but DONT LET THE OTHER TEAM SCORE 5 PASSING TDS IN ONE HALF if you dont want to complain about running up the score. It's the NFL anything could potentially happen, look at the Dallas/Bills game from 2 weeks ago and tell me otherwise

Call it what you want, but I wish he was my teams coach. It's about trying to win the game, not class.

what do you want him to do.. every fuKin game just give up after they are winning by a certain point. do you want him to purposely fumble the ball when ever they are ahead. what?! brady is on a record breaking season I would let him get has many points as possible.

OR MAYBE the Pats should bring in a coach with class that DOESN'T CHEAT and RUN UP THE SCORE. Pats fans wonder why everyone hates their team.

I guess the Patriots should just stop trying to score, since apparently that's not what the game is about.

the fake spike is nothing to get mad at

the fact that they wanted to score another TD maybe

the Pats are playing to put up points, thats the goal of the offense
the better we are and the better we get at scoring the more chances we have to get to the SB and win

why not try to fine tune your offense?

are they expected to take a knee for the rest of the game.....to go for a 1st down and to go for a TD is the same thing

and everybody was ****ting on the Pats calling em cheaters.....everybody tries to steal signs in the NFL....no other coaches came to Bellichicks defense

nobody showed them any sympathy.....and now....the Pats will show no one sympathy

its payback time

So if you were a classy coach, what would you try to do?...not score? Maybe just have Brady hand the football off to the Dolphins to give them a chance? Maybe he should go over to the Dolphins sideline and tell them that they're all winners in his book and give everyone a trophy so they don't feel sad.

Strong chip on Patriots shoulder in this thread. I was willing to ignore the video thing and just look at this specific play, but Bozz is right with the no class thing. I always loved (hated) Bill's homeless cutoff sweatshirt - I mean come one you're the coach of a professional team - dress the part. That play was stupid though, there seems to be some kind of gentlemans agreement about not trying to **** each other up on knees and spikes (for the most part). I do agree with the play to the whistle mentality, but I still think they should have showed a little more class with that and the last drive in general. (Giants fan, don't really care in the end)

LOL....like i just said...eveybody was calling the Pats cheaters, saying take away their SB wins.....Bellichick has no class.....they only won cuz they cheated....everyteam tries to steal signs but nobody came to his defense

why the phuck would Bellichick care about what the other teams feel?

everybody was just attackin him and the Pats, calling him a bad guy
now he has a real reason to be a bad guy
and all yall can do is whine and complain and say he has no class

last time i checked the winner of an NFL game is not the one with the highest class at the end of the game, its who has the highest amount of points

nobody showed Pats love.....you cant expect the Pats to show anybody else love

and no other coaches werent supposed to say yea we cheat too....but they have said something like its part of the game, he isnt the only coach who tries this......dont make it seem like Bellichick is the only one who has ever tried to do this
but all i heard was **** like no class, they wouldnt have won without cheating and now Bellichik is going to show everybody that without cheating the Patriots would have won and they would have won easily

I'm up by 35 against an 0-6 team, I don't fake a spike late in the 2nd quarter, and I hand of the ball for the duration of the 2nd half and punt the ball. CLOCK CONTROL.

The thing is, even if it had been a normal play, and they scored a TD, people would be bitching about scoring so close to the half.

You score any way you can. This isn't PC junior high football where everyone is made to feel special and how "it's how you play the game." You score, any way you can.

The only thing that is going to slow him down is if they start yanking him out, early, due to their blow-out victories. They get to play the Dolphins, again, at home!!!

HAHAHA Pittsburgh fan actually. And yes I am watching something historic. I'm going to watch a coach, for the first time in modern football, put a price on an opposing QBs knees or head because his coach is classless.

Heh, yeah it would. It'd be pretty sweet to see the Pats go 16-0 and destroy everyone, then get elimated like in their first game of the postseason.

And despite my defense of them, I'm not a hardcore Pats fan. I just enjoy good teams. If only my Vikings were a good team. *cry*
