View Full Version : Carb-up after cardio while cutting?

Not cutting at the moment, just wanna beef-up my knowledge...

I am just curious, if carbing up after a run or riding a bycicle would a good idea - to prevent catabolism. If it's okay to do so, how much? Same as a weight lifting session with an equivalent amount of cals burned? And if I should carb-up, should I include protein? Thanks.

no the point of a carb up is when you depleted glycocen levels after a few days . and after weigt training you can take some dex

I always have carbs after any workout, cardio or weightlifting. I keep it low GI though, I usually have a cup of oats or so. So long as you are eating under your caloric maintainance level there's no problem with it. I find it helps recovery happen faster, and you don't feel tired for the rest of the day.
