What do you eat for a snack when cutting if you are hungry and need something to keep you going?

a protein shake or a salad
I just figured out the recipe for a japanese style miso and ginger salad dressing, and now I can't wait to eat my next salad

I snack on some edamame (soybeans) or a few almonds. I love almonds so it's easy to make 10 or 20 of them last a while by savoring the flavor :)

Drinking some flavored water or something of the like always helps me too.

* Home made protein bars/slice - you can easily make low carb varieties with linseeds/ flax, egg-whites, brans, protein-powders, nut butters etc.

* Fruit mixed with cottage cheese and nuts

* Fat free yoghurt with cottage cheese, protein powder, nuts

* Cans or foils/ no drain tuna or salmon (or chicken??) mixed with some nuts or tahini or avocado or other things and vegetables

* Sliced deli meats + nuts and vegetables

* slices of fat-free or low fat cheese

* Shakes with some protein powder, fat-free yoghurt, flax or nut butter
* Take a serving of nuts (walnuts are best ) and a 'no mess' 120g tuna pouch packet with a fork. Gives you a quick and easy meal of ~300 cals.

* Celery sticks with cottage cheese and peanut butter

if your cutting u want something that will fill u up and keep u full and low in cals

IMO the best thing to have is green veggies regardless.. high on fiber and low on cals and carbs.. broccoli, asparagus, green beans are great choices

califlour is also pretty ideal

mix and match these with a condiment of your choice

also make sure ur drinking lots of water at leasat 3+ Liters a day.. water will satisfy ur stomach and keep u full

as for other snacks Sugar Free Jello/Pudding does the trick real well

stay away from carbs/fats as snacks they may make u hungry faster

he was talking about the combination of carbs + fat.. peanuts is only fat(to little carb)

celery and salsa are great because it's so filling for so few calories. Sometimes I will have a protein bar or protein shake first, then if still hungry, cut up a large pile of celery, cucumbers and peppers and just dip them in mild salsa. It really fills you up!
