Mainly I wanna know if I could successfully bulk intaking 1 gram of protein per pound a day. I am a full-time college student who won't have access to a kitchen, or meal halls. I'll have to small mini-fridges in my room.

I am hoping taking in an increase in calories, will help if I get 1 gram per lb., I won't really be able to cook much or anything. I am inbetween a mesomorph and an endomorph, never had trouble gaining weight if I really needed to or let myself go, so gaining shouldn't really be an issue, I probably will only have to up my cals by like 500-700 or so I'm guessing.

Anybody had success with taking in 1 gram of protein per lb. instead of the 1.5/2 grams recommended? I think 1 gram is plenty IMO, I just wanna hear what you guys think.

Many recommend 1.20 or so when cutting/bulking, but I generally just do 1g per pound. It should be fine, if you seem to put on fat/not gain strength, look into protein amount.

Also, 500-700 may lead to some fat gain, I'd start out around 400-500 above maintenance.

Good luck.

Thanks, but I don't mean 500-700 above maintenence, I mean over what I am currently taking in.

Should be fine then, start out slow and up them every 2 weeks or so.

If you want to bulk, worry about consuming more carbs. 1g x body weight for Protein is fine.

I would personally go with 1.5g/lb protein and 2.5g/lb carbs

1.25 x LBM

Are you saying too many carbs or not enough?
