How heavy are you?

If you can't do Pulll UP, then you should do Pull Down first, and gradually add the weight used.

First use the lat pulldown machine to build up some strength in your lats. Once your able to do a couple of pullups with your own body weight try this.

Don't count how many sets your doing aim for a certain number of reps 20, 25 etc don't worry how many sets it takes to get to 25 reps.

Also try to increase the overall strength of your biceps, delts and chest, it will help a lot.
