Some former lose the fat logers and me have decided to give the Velocity Diet a try. For me it will be the second time around. Only lasted a couple of days the first time but this time I intend to go the full 28 days starting in 2 hours, July 5th.
We will post pics and measurements weekly and track our progress.
The first person to give up get negged by anyone reading this log.
Also daily we have to post our meals and what time and the total calories intake for that day.

So people keep posted and see if this Velocity Diet thing really works.
Three guys are going to try it and let you know : skuZZitude, HotMoltenLava, and cawiau.

Let the fun begin in 2 hours :)

How about we set a combined goal of weight to lose between the 3 of us...........

May I propose 50lbs combined?

Do you guys think it's possible? Since I plan to lose 20lbs that means you guys only need to lose 15 each (see I will carry our team)

I just got some very bad news on the phone and I don't want to talk about it. I'm pretty sad though... got a lump in my throat right now and just spent 10 minutes crying in the bathroom, the first time I can ever remember crying in a long time.

So you know what I am going to start the diet tomorrow with you guys... I don't want to wait another day let's just do this. I am going to use my pain for motivation and do this for the person that is in more pain than I am. Nothing can stop me from doing this. Me losing weight will make the person who is in more pain than me very happy to see I am healthy, I am doing this for them and myself

Here's my plan.

Supplements and nutrition

My calculations allow me 2100 calories on workout days and 1800 calories on off days. I went a hair over on both, in order to simplify the servings per day. I plan to do cardio every day, so this should balance it out.

Serving Size --> 1 tablet
Total Calories --> 10 calories

Daily Supplements

Creatine Monohydrate - Mulitvitamin - L-Glutamine - Yerba Mate - Glucosamine\Condroitin

Daily Cardio

3 mile walk (V-diet Author claims that high or medium intensity cardio is not good on this diet, as it burns too many calories for this lower calorie diet.)

Total calories --> 1920
Total Protein --> 414 g
Total Carbs --> 36 g

Looks good Mr. Lava.

I don't think going slightly over in carbs is a bad thing. I think it may be a good thing because I have seen that have 2 weeks on the velocity diet, most people stop loosing weight and only drop 1-2lbs in the final two weeks. So perhaps it makes sense to start off on the velocity diet 300 calories over, and then after two weeks lower it by 300 calories to mix things up a bit?

Well gentlemen it looks like all of us are accounted and reporting for duty. Posting our diets was the easy part, now can we stick to them? No quitting! By the way I barely slept at all last night! And I work again 10 nights in a row pretty much....... it's gonna be a fun week.

hi guys and good luck but this velocity diet where did u get this from?????

google "Velocity Diet" it's basically a diet that is around 50% of your caloric requirements, and the calories just happen to come from easy to prepare meals (shakes, pills, flaxseed).

........ it actually sounds pretty unhealthy when you put it that way but oh well, being obese isn't healthy either. Two wrongs DO make a right baby!!!!!!!

Are you spacing your meals out every 2.5 hours approx? That is interesting.

I have decided to do 7 meals a day

4 of them = 1.5 scoops
1 of them = 2.0 scoops (post workout)
2 of them = 1/4 macadamia nuts

7:30am, 9:30am, 11:30am, 1:30pm, 3:30pm, 5:30pm and 7:30pm.

Also are either of you guys using ECA?

If you work it into your allotted calories for the day, I'd say no. The question really is, do YOU consider it cheating?

At the end of the day, you gotta do, what you gotta do...........but, ask yourself this.......Is what you gotta do gonna get you to where you wanna be? None of us are there with you, so you are gonna do whatever your gonna do. Free will is free will.

I guess the answer is no.
Why give me the guilt trip :(

You can do whatever you want man. I may alternate to grilled cheese sandwiches on my workout days..... replacing the two cups of macadamia nuts with two grilled cheese and then cutting my protein intake down. The grilled cheese w/ LC flaxseed bread contains a lot of protein too. I measure all my ingredients out on a scale so I know what I am getting. It's roughly 700 calories each so 1400 calories + 900 calories of whey = 2300. I am aiming for 2300 calories on workout day and 2000 calories on HIIT day. For me, things like macadamia nuts will keep my feeling healthy. Although 1/4 cup of nuts is NOT alot it's like 300 calories and takes me a while to eat because they are so fatty. Great supplemental food to the whey isolate.

But I wouldn't start thinking about that now. Just gruel through this, your body can handle it. Just make sure you eat enough calories bro.... notice how lava is eating like 1800 and 2100?...... And I am eating 2000 and 2300? So you should be eating maybe like 2100 and 2400? I know the website says different but you can always drop your calories down later on. This all being said, the contest has started and it's only day 1, so let's focus on the contest and not make any modifications as of yet.... give your bodyt a few days to see how it adjusts

By the way I weighed in this morning at 293.6lbs which basically means I haven't lost any weight in 3 weeks which is discouraging. It makes sense though, since I haven't done any exercise in 3 weeks and I've been eating around 3500-3700 calories a day. So yeah I need a kick in the ass too big time and this diet has come in at the perfect time. Based on my macros I expect to lose hopefully 16 to 20lbs of fat while maintaining my muscle.

:D

The grilled cheese I cook up consists of low carb flaxseed bread I make in my breadmaker, real butter and 60g of real cheese. Yummy isn't it? I am used to doing a keto diet and I find that these sandwiches are very nutrient dense. Although I am doing the velocity I am still maintaining my keto background..... I want to ensure I eat at least 100g of fat a day.

Yeah, guess what?
I weighted in at 311.2 lbs
But I have been up all night working on some pictures, vacation in Canada last week and yesterday was 4th of July.
So you have nothing to complain about.

By the way, did the gym equipment arrive yet?

Holy, 311? I know you get tired of hearing it but a lot of it is water weight. Still you probably are around 306ish or something. Now is the time to drop the weight. Honestly... I prolly shouldn't say this........ but for some reason I've got my money on you to lose the most weight in this contest. I mean Lava is intense... when he gets going he is nuts, and I've got a lot of motivation going into this one for other reasons.

But anyways even with all that motivation I think you will take it, because you are a machine with your lifts and I just believe in you man so don't give up on yourself and just keep thinking that. 28 days from now when you post results and pictures and you are down to like 285lbs you will be so happy. The next 28 days are the first 28 days of the rest of your life bro.

But you're right, I don't have anything to complain about! My gym equipment is coming today, sometime. I will let you know when I get it and I may even take photos of my standing beside it when it's all put together (after all, I do need to take photos anyways! :D)

why even keep taking in fat when u have plenty???? think u want fast success? i suggest making ur diet based on veggies and lean meats high in protein ur body alrdy has enough fat to burn and maintain without adding any extra if ur adding 100 grams daily???? yes caw keep it in ur mind and when u get past the cravings and the empty stomach feeling it becomes sooo much easier bro trust me

I am thinking about that.
What do you say about a diet that is just vegies and meat (beef, chicken, etc)
I mean I will have cereal in the morning, my protein shake and cottage cheese.
After that it is all veggies and meat or fish.
That would be for August.

Ahhh I can feel the ECA running through my veins. I haven't taken any in 21 days (cycling on and off). First day Ive taken it....... and man what a kick. It's the caffeine for me too since I haven't had any caffeine in a month. I'm not big on using drugs for weight loss but ECA is seriously king when it comes to weight loss and energy supplements. Only thing I've ever used and iit's always had good results for me.

Technically, if your urine is ever anything besides perfectly clear, then you are not drinking enough water, or at least that is what I've been led to believe. I am aiming to drink 2 gallons a day. So far I've slammed back 2 liters. Atta boy, half a day at a time. Man...... I wish it was that late here... I want to do HIIT already. FRICK I AM PUMPED, damn ECA stack. Better not wear off too fast.... but I didnt want to take it too close to HIIT. So I am doing HIIT in t-minus 75 minutes.

You just motivated me a little more........:D......Thanks.

I will be happy with 15 pounds, excited about 20 pounds and freaking out over 25 pounds. My goal is 20 pounds. That would put me close to 15%bf, which is my next goal. My ultimate goal is 10%bf and over 200lbs LBM. I am currently 20%bf and 204lbs LBM.

If (when) this works, I am thinking about trying a "Bulk -N- Velocity Diet", meaning next month I will raise my calories to maintenance + 500 and then go back to Velocity the next month, and so on. Basically an extreme cut followed by a bulk. Guess I have 27 days to come up with the plan...:D

Have a good one.

Put the flax seed in the whey shake. You won't even know it is there. If you are using the big seeds, look for Milled Flax Seed at the grocery. It has the same consistancy as flour and mixes in nicely with the shake.

You do what you want, but HIIT might be too much for Velocity, due to the low calories we are eating and the high cals that HIIT burns (I normally burn 400). I normally do HIIT and haven't decided yet what I am going to do (leaning towards walking), but I would like to do HIIT, cause I am good at it. Will probably walk, just to stay in line with the original V-diet plan. Thoughts?

Cardio: The Light Stuff

Given the low carbs and low calories, hardcore energy systems work like I normally prefer (sprinting, running bleachers, etc.) might lead to overtraining or muscle loss. Low to moderate intensity cardio, on the other hand, will drain calories efficiently and not interfere with training load.

My plan is to perform fast walks every morning after coffee and before the first shake of the day. I'll wear a weighted vest to increase intensity as needed or simply walk on uneven, semi-rough terrain. I'll shoot for two to four miles daily depending on whether I'm wearing the weighted vest or not. Since the intensity is relatively low, I'll do this seven days a week, rain or shine.

I flippin love that movie. I think it is the funniest movie in ten years. I could watch it every day and still laugh. Have you seen "Knocked Up", yet? It is made by the same people and has most of the same cast. It is funny as hell. Must see it.

Have a good one.

I am debating between "Knocked Up" and "The Transformers" for this Sunday.
Most likely "Knocked Up" since my fiancee is going with me.

I'm back. Twas a good workout... did 5 minute warm up, then 16 minutes of HIIT

Work MHR = 186bpm (at the end)
Rest MHR = 174bpm

Then a 5 minute rest (which only dropped my heart rate to 145 despite going really slow on level 1 for a few minutes.

I am still sweating 10 minutes later after a shower. I love HIIT

Thanks for the advice. I did read that part. What I may do is alternate my cardio routines......

Right now I plan to alternate days between cardio and weights. So I may alternate cardio sessions between HIIT and moderate intensity. Something like:

Day 1: HIIT (90% MHR)
Day 2: Weights (Upper Body)
Day 3: Moderate Intesity (70% MHR)
Day 4: Weights (Lower Body)

Rinse and repeat.

No they haven't, but it's only 11:34am here. I am assuming they will probably come around 1-3pm. If they aren't here by 4pm I am going to call the warehouse and see what's up (I work at 5pm). I am sure they will come though. I am in the middle of nowhere, 2 hours away from civilization, so it takes them a while to get up here I reckon.

Are you taking any fat burners or energy boosters bro? What about Hot Rox or something? Not into it? Seems like people doing the velocity diet have good success if they take some energy boosters with it. I find ECA curves my appetite and gives me tons more energy. Without it, the diet would be twice as difficult (which would make it almost impossible).

Hang in there, first day is hard. The second day is the hardest though!

If I haven't told you guys before, I am a GPS Geek......meaning I do software, hardware, dbase, etc for a GPS tracking company. I recently switched jobs to a competitor of a company I worked like 6 years for. I work from home and do everything remotely. My new company is based in Las Vegas. They had planned to move their office here, which means I would have to go to work at the office. Just heard today that they are moving to Kentucky instead. I get to work from home long term! My commute is 20 feet from my bed (kinda like having a bed under my desk)! My wife is expecting in two months, so I will get to stay home with her and the wee one for 3 months, before she goes back to work (she is a Pharmacist) and the wee one goes to day care. Life is gooooood.

I thought I would share with you guys the bad news I got yesterday. I wanted to wait until today to see how bad it really is. I'm a pretty private person, don't plan to tell any of my friends or co-workers, but I need to tell someone and you guys are as close to family as I've got right now.

My mom (58 years old) found a lump in her breast and went to the doctor. He then found another lump under her arm. She went for a mammogram today and it is indeed cancer, and it has spread to her lymph nodes, but to what extent is not known (she is going to get further testing tomorrow). I am sort of in shock right now, but I've done a lot of research for her and the survival rates seem very good. This isn't the first time she has had cancer, she fought off cervical cancer 7 years ago. She gets nothing but bad luck and she is the nicest person in the world. She is the only person I know that no one hates. There is no one person in the world who dislikes my mother, NOT ONE. Not any of her old co-workers, not even her ex-husband (my dad). What makes it even worse is she just retired 4 months ago and my sister just had a baby 1 month ago (my mom's first grandson). It gets even worse, they were scheduled to go on a cruise SATURDAY (yes, in two days). The first vacation they have gone on in 4 years and the first time on a cruise ever, now they are cancelling that.

It's just such horrible news and I don't know how to deal with it, so I am just going to be strong and do this diet for her and just keep going on with things. I am going down to visit her on July 18th to July 22nd and I will try and keep my diet up during that time, and will also workout (I have a gym membership down there). More important things to worry about now though. I did look up the survival rates and I feel better. Assuming the cancer has not spread beyond her breast/lymph nodes, which it doesn't look like it has, she has anywhere from a 92% chance to a 54% chance of being alive in 5 years. She is such a fighter and in such good shape that her odds are much better than that I feel, and she has a lot of support. If you are religious please say a prayer for her and put in her in your thoughts and remember when you guys are doing this diet that things could always be worse. I am sure many of you have suffered losses. Let's use the pain we have suffered to empower us in our journey and help us get through the difficult times.

Be strong. She needs that right now. If you can't stay positive, it will be harder for her to stay positive. My sister went thru the same thing. It was rough, but she pulled thru. She is now in total remission and has the same chance of getting it again as the general public.

Good luck.

My diet has been lawless so far today, how is it going for you guys? Almost 1 down.......... 27 more to go. My energy is starting to die down though.

My diet is flawless. My lifting was good. I tried HIIT and died about half way thru. That never happens, so it must be the low intake that killed it. I am going to walk once a day and try to do half an HIIT on lift days. I'll see how that goes. May just scale back to walking only, if my energy is down. Other than that, I feel pretty good. Hunger has been pretty minimal, most likely due to the EC. We'll see how tomorrow goes. The cardio is my only question mark. I want to do as much as I can, without overdoing it and hurting my energy level. My wife doesn't like that she will be eating alone for 28 days. I offered to be her personal chef for her dinner and drink my shake with her. I think she liked that.

Have a good one and stay strong.

Guys remember that this morning I weighted in at 311.2 lbs right
Guess right, just weighted myself when I got home.
In less than a day I am already down to 306.8 lbs, and tried 3 times
I am going to brake this ****ing scale :mad:

Like others said above, it was a lot of water. It is damn near impossible to gain that much weight in a matter of days! For that reason, I weigh not more than once per week. I get frustrated seeing it go up or not move if I check every day.

Good first day and don't feel half bad. Just went on a 2 mile walk.

Whey 3 scoops (6 servings)
Flax Seed 1 Tbsp (4 servings)
Fish Oil 2 Pills (6 servings)
Total Calories --> 2160 calories
Total Protein --> 420 g
Total Carbs --> 44 g
Total Fat --> 58 g

This should be really interesting lava. You are doing the velocity diet really hardcore, and I am doing the velocity diet well, I guess "slack". In other words, I am eating pretty much 1g of protein for every 1lb of bodyweight. You are eating 1.5g per lb. However we are both eating roughly the same amount of calories. I guess we will see who has better success. I am inclined to think you will. The only thing I am wondering is if you are going a bit overboard on the protein intake, but I guess we will find out.

Your ratio is like 71% protein, 22% fat and 7% carbs. and mine is 48% protein, 47% fat and 5% carbs. I think the sweet spot would be somewhere around 60% protein, 35% fat and 5% carbs.

By the way your macros don't add up to 2160 calorie. I know it's normally off a bit but yours are way off:

420x4 = 1680 calories
44x4 = 176 calories
58x9 = 522 calories

2378 calories

Keep up the good work bro

I came up at 311.5 lbs this morning but keep in mind I just came back from a 5 days Vacation from Canada on Monday morning and July 4 2007 was just yesterday. So lots of cheating.

So here is my starting pic for the Velocity Diet.

Good stuff mate...

2nd run through it right? How is you hunger going only using ON's whey?

I'm on day 6, at the moment my attitude is "this is easy as!" but who knows what next week will bring.

I would stay away from HIIT guys, on a xtreme diet like this you really wanna be doing cardio at a moderate pace, I did 10 minutes on the bike and cross trainer at a decent pace and a bit of power walking and then a light jog for the last 10 minutes. I do this 4 times a week and do a full body workout the other 3 days.

Godd luck ppl, the first few days test you but what everyone has said it true, you do drop the weight quite fast, you don't really crave realy food after a few days and you feel satisfied all the time as long ay you have a slow release protien...

Here I was stressing about my weight all over the place yesterday, upset and all.
Actually no treally upset, just pissed.
The scale read 311.2 lbs.
By the time I got home in the afternoon, it was down to 306.8
Now this morning it's down to 302.4 lbs
Yeah, I am happy, but it is so stressfull.
I mean, I could start a fight with that scale.

You know what, I am not going to change my weigh again.
It will just be updated next friday.

1g protein = 4 calories
1g carbs = 4 calories
1g fat = 9 calories

So either you are getting more calories than you think you are, or you are getting less grams of protein (or carbs or fat) then you think you are. What is throwing the whole thing off is your protein powder:

Whey Servings 3 scoops (6 servings)
Total calories --> 1920 (2124)
Total Protein --> 414 g (1656)
Total Carbs --> 36 g (144)
Total fat --> 36 g (324)

Are you sure each scoop of your protein powder doesn't have 118 calories?

Ok, you are 263 lbs and going for 20 lbs.
I am in the 300's. Do you think going for 30 would be exagerated.
I mean that is about 7 1/2 lbs per week compare to your 5.
I would like to be 270 lbs.

Ok, going for 25 lbs, anything above is a bonus...

I couldn't tell you for sure, cause I haven't experienced it, but if you follow it to a T, I think it is possible. I believe I read there have been people that have lost over 30, so go for it. I do know that the average that the author of the V-diet has observed is between 15-20lbs lost. That is why I picked 20, but I work harder than most people.....:D. Discipline is a state of mind. There is no mystic force that creates discipline. After reading this sentence, you can say to yourself...."I am disciplined"...and you are. What happens next is what confirms or denies your statement.

Seriously, man......just do it. Start today. Create a log. Get our support when you need it and show that you have discipline. Just like the 12 step, it is one day at a time. It is not rocket science. Eat right, lift, and do cardio.

Have a good one.

By the way, how is your girlfriend doing with her diet?

Edited to add more drama :D

pfft

The macros don't seem to add up on this diet for extreme weight loss. Even if you are eating 1500 calories a day (we are all eating more than this) and your maintenance rate is 3500 and then another 500 calories for exercise, that is only a deficit of 2500 calories a day which would result in a 20lb weight loss over 28 days (2500 x 28 / 3500 = 20). This is being optimisic. In reality, our maintenance rates are around 3300+500 or so and we are all consuming around 2100 calories which means a deficit of 1700 calories which means a 14lb loss which is why my goal is set at that.

I guess I jusst wouldn't get your hopes up..... there are a couple of reasons for this:

1) The majority of velocity diets I see completed, the results are usually around 14-18lbs.

2) The "creator" himself, like Mr. Lava said, observed 15-20lbs lossess (and he is bound to "exaggerate" to make his diet seem better and more appealing, sort of like the Atkins "14lbs in the first 2 weeks". Yeah how misinformed were all th ose people? Little did they know that 10lbs of it was water weight. Then they would lose 14lbs in 2 weeks and go off the diet and gain 8lbs back in 1 day, and then blame the atkins diet and say that it's impossible to come off atkins without gaining all your weight back. I can still remember posts like "HELP!!! WENT OFF ATKINS AND GAINED 8LBS IN 1 DAY AND I ONLY ATE 2500 CALORIES HELP!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!"

3) Any rediculous claims you see of "I lost 30lbs on the v-diet" are probably from people who totally binged the day before they started the v-diet and were bloated BIG time with water weight *COUGH* CAWIAU *COUGH*.

So technically, Caw has already lost 9lbs on the vdiet..... see, most people count the water weight losses. I believe caw, you can lose 20lbs from here on (bringiing you to a total of 29lbs) but I don't think you could lose another 29lbs. Once the water weight is gone it sucks. Like me for instance, I was 293.6lbs to start and I am not retaining any water at all... so I really haven't lost too much weight at all since the summer contest. I've actually only lost like 5lbs in the last 5 weeks (not counting my intial water weight) so in other words I am doing very poorly. Time to step it up!

Oh and my girlfriend, not sure if she is still doing it. To be honest, I think we are taking a break from seeing each other right now after being together for 2 years. Our relationshion is basically "temporarily on hold"

Read my post above (right above this one). The part about you being hardcore! You scare me man, I got my money on you if you keep it up. You are eating less calories than the rest of us.

I think I am going to take this diet a bit more serious, no more grilled cheeses. To be honest I just wanted to finish up the cheese in the fridge and the bread. GOD DAMNIT that sounds bad. Oh well, still fit it into my macros. I am going to just replace it with a cup of macadamia nuts and then up my shakes a bit to get the protein and be done with it. Trying to drop my calories below 2000. An extra 300 calories a day in deficit makes a big difference, that is an extra 2-3lbs in the contest.

True, but if you look at that T-Nation thread, the people that respond are consistently losing 15+lbs. I guess we will find out, but I tend to believe it. We can speculate all day long and say I hope I lose this. What happens will happen. I am excited about the prospect, though.....:D

I have also read that the majority of people that went off the V-diet, onto a clean diet, didn't gain more than one or two pounds back, which means it probably wasn't a lot of water weight. I actually weighed 269lbs on Monday, ate right on Tuesday and Wednesday and weighed in at 263lbs last night and this morning. I believe my starting weight is correct. Cai should probably readjust his starting weight down to the low number that he weighed today, just to be more accurate....without water weight....but that is up to him. Just a thought.

Have a good one......and quit being so pessimistic, Skuzz........:D.....doggin our potential results and bringin me down.......your gonna make me fall and break a hip......gettin me all riled up like this.....I can't take this kinda frustration at my age.......Oh, Murder She Wrote is comin on......Hahahahahahahahahaha.....:D

Oh and on a side note, you two must have gone way overboard on the days before starting this diet, especially you cawiau! Damn you must have set some kind of record, loosing 9lbs of water weight in 2 days..... mind sharing with us what insane amount of food you ate to cause such a huge water gain? Were you eating packets of pure sodium or something?

Im eating less cals cause I weigh a bit less than the rest of you(except Lava) so 1800-2100 is my goal range ... i weigh around 255 or so ... i hit it at about 1850 yesterday so im in there im going to get a bit more today though .. :D

I had some BBQ and about 10 NewCastles on July 4th.........but don't tell anyone........:D

I fit it into my macros, though......:D....Not......I hadn't had beer in a long time and figured I wanted to indulge before being so strict for 28 days.

Hey.....Anyone seen that movie, 28 Days Later? We aren't going to turn into zombies, are we?

lol that is what I look like right now literally wiht my allergies acting up my eyes are all read. My co-workers think I am on drugs or something....

btw just got off the phone with the company about my exercise equipment. I called to work out a time tomorrow and she said "We don't know if it will fit on the truck tomorrow". I maintained my calm but almosst lost it, she said they would let me know in the morning. So I hung up and then she called back 5 minutes later and said she had spoke with the guy and he looked at the order lists and said it should be no problem to bring it up tomorrow, said it should get here near the end of the day probably though. She said he would call tommorrow to confirm with an ETA etc.

So pending no vehicle breakdowns or last minute commercial pallets, I should be getting my piece of **** equipment by tomorrow. First thing Im gonna do once it gets here is look over it all and figure out which pieces are missing...... yep knowing my luck something is gonna be missing. ****! :(

Ok, the pig out started on Wednesday of Last week

Wednesday : Coke, beer, pizza, haitan patties 2 (and really), rice and beans, haitian legume, beer again when I got to Canada and alchohol.
Thurday : egg, bread, butter, apple, orange and orange juice for breakfast. Haitian soup. Went to Jazz festival ate alot of junk and beer. Back to aunt house had some more haitian fattening food.
Friday : Same as thursday.
Saturday : breakfast was eggs, bread with butter with fruit and orange juice. Than for dinner went to a buffet where I eat like 4000 calories easy. Than around 10 went for ice cream with my little brother and sister
Sunday : had 2 american patties, cookies, haitain dinner, macoronie

Monday I weighted in at 209.6 lbs.

Ate eat on Monday and Tuesday.
By Wedneday I was down to ~204/205

Wednesday
Had :
Rice, chicken, cheese, 2 hot dogs, 2 burgers, ice cream, alcohol, 3 beer, 3 rhum, barbecue ribs (3) , macaroni, lasagna and the list goes on.

Also, I did not sleep Wednesday night at all, so went right thru Thursday.
Also Wednesday night had 2 slice of bread with peanut butter and jelly
Weight was 311 lbs
My weight could have been tat high maybe because I did not sleep at all also.

Thursday : Velocity Diet with 3 gallons of water. Actually close to 4
Friday morning : 302.4 lbs. :)

Damn, now typing it I am disgusted with myself.

By the way, did I mention to you guys I went and had my full bloodwork done on Wednesday at 1:00pm (after a 20 hour fast). It just worked out that it so happened the very next morning I would start velocity... (at that time I had planned to start Monday). I got everything checked, cholesterol, proteins, STD's...... doctor basically checked everything off that can be tested from just blood.

I wonder if I can convince my doctor to write another order to get my blood re-tested exactly the day after I end velocity? So in 28 days? Wouldn't that be amazing, to compare my current cholesterol levels to after the velocity diet. I am sure the author of velocity would love to use that in his book... I would be happy to send him my reports, complete with the dates on them :D

Of course, that depends if my cholesterol goes down or not! :D

Oh I also got my blood pressure taken, 128/78. Let's see if that goes down too.

I agree... he didn't create it. Like I've said before, it's basically an all liquid diet that is around 50%-60% of your maintenance rate. Pretty simple. He did give it a sweet name though. Honestly, I can't imagine what he is writing a book on... the diet can be summed up in...... well....... one article on his webpage. However that being said, the book will probably be successful. Once people here of an "all shake" diet on the market with a cool name like "velocity", I am sure it will be an instant hit. However, I am not sure what the mainstream nutritionists will think of it :)

I'm pumped.......... day #2 is going good. The morning is always a bit rough, but by noon I feel good. The HIIT was easy today. I think it is because I am eating a lot of fat still but I may alternate my days in order to mix things up. For instance, I may do 3 days of 2200~ calories, and then 3 days of 1800~ calories (with more protein and very little fat, just salmon oil and maybe some flaxseed).

I am also drinking tons of water, yesterday 10 liters and today so far I've drank 5 liters

He checked out the thread and basically told me that I was going to fail, because I am not using all of the supplements he recommends and because I am only using whey protein. I am following the caloric intake, the macro, the flax, lifting and the cardio, yet I am going to fail. Go figure. I believe he thinks I will fail, because I won't stick to the diet with what I am doing (differently from his plan). I guess it is his diet and if we don't follow it to a T and fail, it makes him look bad.....or the fact that we are saying it is Velocity that we are doing, but we aren't doing it to a T. I understand his point, but I think I am following it pretty damn closely. Oh well. I guess he will be proven right or wrong in 26 days. There are lots of people using whey with good results.
