post is more essential when ur body needs the amino acids restored after u just tore up ur muscles.. def save it for post workout.. pre workout have a nice lean protein such as eggs, chicken, tuna etc etc with some complex carbs.. whole grain bread/cereal, brown rice, sweet potato, yams

keep it simple

The extra protein is more essential POST-workout.

how about a piece of fruit in there also bro ;) try to get a good amnt of carbs before hitting the gym u will be using them up quite quick.. go for about 1 cup of oats, 1 can of tuna and an apple/banana.. something along that line is pretty ideal before hitting the gym
