Is there any advantage or disadvantage with regard to gaining strength or mass as far as doing legs on one day or splitting them into 2 (say calf and hamstrings on one day and quads on another). I've been doing them all at once but it seems like a lot, especially since I do both squats and SLDLs. I am thinking i might get more out of each exercise if I did squats on one day (along with leg extensions and lunges) and SLDLs on another (along with lying curls and maybe some calf work). Are there any pros or cons to keeping things together or splitting them up?

Depends on the balance of your legs. I really brought up my hamstrings by taking a year and separating quads and ham training. I did this to create balance and it worked nicely. Might check out Killer Quads (www.theelitephysique.com/killerquads) for more leg training info.
