View Full Version : Attempting a Split, is this ok?

I've decided to try something new and i'm curious if this is going to be ok for now. I have some exercise videos that do upper body and lower body splits, so I was thinking of trying this until I can get a routine up without the videos.
Monday - Rest
Tuesday - Upper body + abs
Wednesday - cardio
Thursday- Upper body + abs
Friday - Cardio
Saturday - Lower body
Sunday - Rest

I'm taking it easy on my lower body for the week because I went into muscle failure on some lunges, dips, squats and such about 2 days ago and I can still barely walk! But for the most part, does this sound ok?

That should be fine for a change. I'd change it to one body part a week after 4-6 weeks though. ;)
