I hear a lot of people knock hamburgers. When they eat they talk of steak. I personally like steak better, but can't afford to eat it everyday. Is hamburger, no bun, cooked and the grease drained, that bad for you? It seems to have a good chunk of protein. I like the taste of burger. Is it an acceptable form of protein?

Yes, it is but it is high in fat. Buy the leanest meat you can, then drain it and I usually even press it between paper towels to remove more of the fat. The problem with it is that it's high in saturated fat.

Would hamburgers be a lot better if made with Ground Sirloin? My mother buys Ground Sirloin instead of Ground Beef. I still shy away from anything made with the Ground Sirloin but once in a while a burger sounds exceptionally tasty.

Honestly, unless you're planning on competing or an endomorph, I wouldn't worry about the fat in lean hamburger meat. Just drain it and you'll be fine. If it were 100% lean, you'd be hungry again in an hour.
