I read John Berardi's article "Massive Eating" ( http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/berardi41.htm ) and it truly is massive. I've been eating this way for some time and i've gained quite a bit of lean weight but I was wondering if 4,600 cal. a day is just too much for a 165 lb. dude (which comes out to 2.5 g protein/lb.) 'cuz it's hella expensive and I don't wanna be crappin out 1,000 of those calories. So change it or if it ain't broke don't fix it?

if you're making good progress, thats all that matters. the most i ever got up to was 5600 a day. i was 125lbs 5% bodyfat at the time.

or start bringing the calories down and see how you do.

yea its too much....just eat 500 cal above you maintance rate. i say 1-2g/lb is a good protein/bodyweight ratio.

i eat about 600g carb 250g protein and 100g fat per day which is about 4200 cal but im also 235lbs so yes, i think you are eating too much, but then again maybe you are EXTREMELY ectomorphic :eek:
