I have never worn a cup for any sports. I played baseball up until 7th grade without one. I umpire little league games and I don't wear one. Don't wear them for football. I haven't ever had a problem without one. If something bad would happen I'm sure it would be fixable lol.

HMMMM.... You usually don't need one until 7th grade so, who cares about before it lol. It would also take a messed up accident to not be able to fix it.

Anyway, it is a personal thing. I wore one when I played catcher, first base, and even in football as a QB. Other than that I have not worn one and currently do not wear one. In softball, most guys I have played with catch grounders off to the side so they don't get hit in the boys!

I play slow pitch softball and I never use a cup however I do use a jockstrap because the weather is HOT in south texas. I wear jockstrap under my compression/sliding shorts and then my Nike shorts over.

I would definitely wear a jock and cup. Those guys who don't are just playing russian roullette with their family jewels. I always wore a jock/cup when I played football; I only wore a jock for rugby and wrestling.
