View Full Version : High intensity cardio... (not HIIT)

Not nescesarily high intensity INTERVAL training, but this is training with my cross country team, three times per week after school (~4pm). Moderate-high intensity for maybe 45-60 mins. What would you reccommend i take pre and post cardio to help preserve muscle aswell as lose weight?

And yes i have read all the stickies, but there are lots of different arguments. Im just thinking ill stick to my normal lunch at about 1:30pm then maybe some BCAA's (they preserve muscle right?) and a banana right before running. Cause i dont wanna fully stuff my body with carbs as i wanna lose some FAT (preferably not muscle!). Not really sure what to take afterwoods? Maybe some carbs from like a breadroll or white rice of something. I would be finished about 5pm, and i normally have dinner around 7pm.
