i went to the local natural food store to buy some dextrose and found two bins of sugar next to each other.

one was labled "Dextrose" and the other was "Corn Sugar." I was under the impression that they were the same thing.

Am I right? the lady at the store told me that Corn Sugar was fructose. she said she knew because she was allergic to corn or something.

I bought the dextrose anyway.

I felt like telling the lady she was wrong, but i didn't.
So the question is, Is dextrose or fructose also called corn sugar.

from what i have read, fructose is fruit sugar

i'm pretty sure that maltodextrin and dextrose are derived from corn

Look up dextrose in a dictionary. It should say 'Corn Sugar', or 'Grape Sugar'. Bring the dictionary into the health food store and show it to her. :D
