View Full Version : Split Workouts but want to limit carbs

I'm trying to somewhat limit my carb intake, so I don't retain so much water. Around 120-150g a day is what I'm aiming for. I also do cardio in the morning (fasted, because I am doing it within 15 min of waking up, and moderate cardio for only 20-30 minutes.) I also lift later at night. How should I eat with this plan? Moderate carbs post cardio, pre and post lifting?

How does this look?

7:30am - cardio

9am - protein + carbs

12:30pm - protein + veggies + fat

4pm - snack - cottage cheese

6pm - protein + carbs

7pm - lift

9pm - protein + carbs

maybe add more fat in the 4pm meal?

That looks reasonable enough to me. I'd have another serving of veggies, and perhaps some fats immediately pre--bed. The 4pm meal doesn't look very substancial, though.

Thanks for your help! I'll add in some more veggies, and maybe some eggs pre-bed.
