Something can be labeled calorie free if it contains less than 5 calories. So worse comes to worse, you went 125 cals over, and now you have cancer. Enjoy.

Don't feel bad, I do that all the time. I'll sit at my desk writing a paper and go through a 2-liter of diet soda just like that. I'm a big fan of Diet A&W root beer, myself.

correct, my fault

fda guidelines state if 1 serving = LESS than 5 cals, it can legally be labeled as calorie free

That is an awful lot of cans of sprite... Fat wise, no it won't affect you. Health wise, it doesn't look like it'll do you any good. I'd say you're better off having a small cheat than 24 diet sprites... at least IMO

With cans it's typically a serving to a can, isn't it? With the 20oz it's usually 2.5...

24x350mL = 8,400mL...that's TWO GALLONS of Sprite.

Holy god.

On the bright side, how does it feel to flush everything out of your system but aspartame?

Just by posting, I think you're proving the doctors wrong. You said it was calorie-free, but did it say fat free? If not, then you could be in big trouble.

Diet sodas do have a few calories, btw.

The biggest damage was the incredible amount of acidic content you just treated your system to. That's probably why you feel bad. Carbonated drinks in excess will treat your stomach and your intestines very poorly.

There's no way that was purely to satisfy a sweet tooth. There's enough carbonation in a can of sprite that after two or three you're feeling pretty full. You're averaging one every 10 minutes for 4 hours, which suggests that you essentially did four power hours back to back, with diet sprite.

...

It's not that good. It was a bet. You're a troll. Or you're insane.

Yeah, too much artificial sweeteners can't be that good for you. Went over this in my Food Science class last semester but I can't remember anything about it. I knew I shoulda payed attention  lol

I really can't criticize on that count. I do go pretty crazy with the splenda sometimes.

Pssssh. I'm sure I've done equal to that if not more before. It's easy when you're watching a movie or something to just go through two twelve-packs of soda. You become like a fountain. Fluid is constantly going into you and coming out of you. If you replace all your chairs with toilets, it's quite convenient under those circumstances.

dude 24? FTW? When I start cutting I get a need for soda (weird, I don't want them on a normal diet) and limit myself to one every once in a while (aspartamente is nasty stuff) but damn dude, 24 is a little overkill. Keep it down that way when you have one or two you are much happier.

holy crap 24 cans of anything lol. My bladder would hate me. 6 cans an hour wow lol I think the only thing I've ever drank that fast was beer.

ManOwarrior86

Don't feel that bad about 24 cans, even though I've never drunk that much even on my most desperate cutting days. Though time to time I've had a good 12-15 cans myself on my biggest of days. Yeah the calorie free pops still have like 2-3 cals, but on a cut its better than going on a 5,000 cal splurge.
