Hey All, Monday I will start a 4 week velocity diet. Hopefully I will last the full 4 weeks.
Everyday I will log on and say what I did (exercise wise) and drinked (nutrition wise) same goes for the supplements that I will be taking.
To get me ready for it I started today with only eating one solid meal.
Tomorow will do the same since I can't avoid eating mother's day dinner with my mother (punishable by death :) ).
Also will post pictures and weight tomorow.
Will do so weekly as a comparison.

Have no set goals for this experiment, actually I have one, sticking to it.

GOing to vegas is a brave thing in and of itself lol all them smorgasboards :)

Good luck and I can't wait to see how the diet works out for you. WHen you do it could you log a complete menu for a day or 2 I would really like to see what the diet actually looks like. ALright good luck bud

Thanks everyone for posting. Today was my second day of semi-training.
So had one solid meal and the rest would be protein drinks.
Can't wait for Monday!!!

Ok, here is going to be my nutrition for the next 30 days:
I will have 6 servings of protein a day and hopefully will not feel hunder :D


Protein (260*6) 1,560 calories
Flax Seed (190* 3 ) 570 calories (Will have it in only 3 servings
Fish Oil (10*20) 200 calories
** And also 4 capsules of Mens Mulltivatimin a day

Total calories should be 2330 daily.

If you can keep your sanity on V-Diet for 30 days the amount of weight you will drop will be nuts man. Its a hard diet to do but the rewards are awesome.

My guess is you lose 23 lbs if you can sustain the various riggers of this diet. My goal is 15lbs for my 28 days. Subscribed btw.

It wouldnt surprise me at all if you drop close to 30lbs in a month on the V-diet I know I lost right at 10lbs in a week on it before so it definitely melts the weight right off.

I tried it Saturday and Sunday to see how I could handle it.
I had 2 meals instead of the regular 4-5.

Today I go hardcor, so no meals, only the shakes.

Will see next week.
Will post my weight every week and same goes for pictures!

8:30, 11, 2:30, and next one is at 5, then PWO 7:15ish, and last one at 9:30. 27 1/2 to go for me too!

Ok, I am way to full to have 2 more protein shake before I go to bed so I am only going to have one more. But that last one I am going to mixed it with milk. Change the taste a little so I could stomach it :D

Also, should add that I slightly cheated. Took a few bites of a food my mom was cooking when I walked in my house. She wanted me to let her know how it tasted.

Besides that it was a good first day!!!

Day 1 is over and I believe that was the hardest day. i cheated yesterday and I will consider that my cheat for the week.

Wook up and I am 1 lb lighter from yesterday. So 303.

1 shake down with my daily cup of coffe. 5-6 more to go.
Also going to a spinning class later on.

Today was a really hectic day at work and was only able to take 2 of my shakes.
It is now for and I am starting on my 3rd one than going to my spinning class.
After spinning class I will take another one, should be about 7:30 PM
Hopefully I will be able to take one before bed. so that will make it 5

dont mean to bust your chops but perhaps that#ll be my role, too bust for a shake? A SHAKE? it takes less time than it does to crap! but as long as you get them in man, keep going and remember, there is no fire! Get a sheet of paper!

It is not exacty the lack of time but me being so busy that the last thing on my mind is to eat.

I have the GNC fish oil which is cheaper.
Also taking a Pro-Anaboloc Whey Protein.

Not really sure of the cost but I am guessing the 4 lbs Protein was $59.99
The fish oil was really cheap.

Why is it necessary or optimal to use JUST shakes on this diet, if your calories are worked the same carbs under 100g proteing equalling 0.8-1g per pound of bodyweight and around 40g fat, what would be the difference?

Viper ran something similar with FOOD and his results were awesome (cant help but think he got some help from old mother nature though!)

you can do the same thing with food. this is just a psmf diet, the whole thing with the shakes is simplicity and it ensures that you are getting the exact amounts and timing that is recommended.

Yes, the beauty of the velocity diet is you don't have to think. It is pretty simple that my little brother that is 4 can do it. He knows he have to take 4-5 shakes a day. Simple.
I don't have to cook/prepare any meals or go buy any. Let alone trying to figure out the amount of protein/carb/fat or calories I am taking in a day. I am pretty bad at it.
So the velocity is great for it's simplicity and convenience.

OK, I am down to 302 lbs, so 2 lbs lost since I started.
I like it like that, at this rate I will lose 28 lbs by the end of the month.

check the t nation velocity diet two article, re-written to include a meal, similar questions outlined above, with shakes you know exact values and nutritional effect of each shake, but If I were to run this Id probably have a meal a day, one I KNOW the value of, i.e and egg white omlette (with one whole for fat) or grilled chicken breast in a sauce of some ind, i.e low carb, high protein moderate fat etc etc, you can do this on food, just need the calorific intake for the day to remain with your value and not to hit over around 100g carbs for the day, you could have say oatmeal in the morning, protein & fat all day and the another 50g of carbs after training say a small portion of rice with some chicken, I personally would like to use a meal replacement and keep things constant all day with complex carbs.

When I have worked this out for myself (as I am considering) I have myself of CNP Pro-MR all day 4 shakes at 42g P 19g C (3g fibre) 3g F (then add 4-5g fish oil) 270kcals each so hit 1080kcals plus 20g of fish oil at 180kcals means I hit 1260Kcals.

I would then have (with my girlfriend so we can eat together and relax NB she is lkely to eat **** the skinny mare - size 6-8 UK!) probably have half tin beans (low GI, 10g P, 1g F, 27g complex low GI carbs) and a six egg omlette/scrambled/boiled (vary to taste) with one whole and the rest white (27g P, 1g C, 6g F) total 315Kcals with beans 37g P 28g complex carb (low GI), 7g Fat.

Making the daily Totals 1585 38F 104C 205P on the lower days, I would probably add carbs or extra 270kcal shake as required as long as within range.

Note my 'range' is 1500-1800kcals and I would listend to my body rather than use and on/off training idea, as some days you get up late and 1500 is fine others you might need that extra shake.

I believe that is what I am going to do.

It is now Friday, 5 in the morning, just getting back to my room.
Ok people, Thanks for the support.
Yesterday I only had one full meal and that was between Dallas and Vegas (2 stops plane) because I did not have any more protein, was in my heavy bag.

By the way, security was cool about the whole thing. I had one container of protein, one container of flax seed (will last me till today though or tomorow, forgot the big box at home) and my mixer.
I just had to purchase water after the security gate.

So I did have one solid meal, so I did good.
Actually nah, bad.
I have the eating under control, is the drinking that is messing me up.
So have had 2 martinis on the rocks, 2 beers and at the end I realised that was to much so had a coke to sober up.

So I will keep on going with the protein shakes as much as I can. My plan is to work around with my school bag that contains them today and Saturday.
Now if I can just stop drinking, everything would be perfect.


Anyway, this week was testing week.
Going back strong on Monday.

Ok, just got to my room. About 5:00 AM again, so already Saturday.

Today I took in all my protein shakes and no solid meal.
Here comes the problem drinking.

You guys be the judge of the damage:

3 Bud Light
1 Apple Martini Shot
1 Sex on the beach Shot.

For my defense I did drink close to 5 small bottles while at the club and also danced from 12 till 4 AM, which is cardio on some sort. My feet are just killing me.

Out of curiosity how are the bowel movements? Of course in the first few days you still go while ehat ever is in there gets out baut you have been on it for a little bit now, do you just have do go drop it off once every few days or what?

So far I have been going regularly.
No changes...but will let you know if it happens.

Ive been no different since Ive started. Except theres less to move lol.

Let's just say this morning I was more than thrilled to see that I was "302 lbs" :D Some of you might realised that is the same weight but for me it was a relief. With the way I was drinking, I thought I would have gain a ton. But I guessed the shake helped.

So I maintain my weight even after not working out for 4 days. YAHOO!!!
I am happy.

I replaced one of my shakes by a meal today. Seemed that I underpacked my shakes so was short one.
So replaced it with chicken breast and brown rice.

Comments : This was a really good cardio. I was pumped the whole time, my energy level was high and wanted to keep going even after the 30 minutes was up. Too bad had to come to work :(

But its 1lb in 2 days...

Imagine where you are going to be at on day 28...

Can't wait to see the results, I am going to do a V diet in about 1 month to 6 weeks when I've done over 25kgs weight loss myself to finish it off and change my tastebuds for the better to get ride of fast food cravings...

I am hopping for 12-15 lbs.
I believe I would be happy with that.
My goal is to reach 250-245 by september and 215 by December.

Fell asleep last night and forgot to turn on my alarm.
So I overslept and was 1 hour late for work.
So no morning cardio today :( , will try to catch up later.

I made it 3 full weeks only cheating by eating a pickle here or there. 4th week and on now I'm at half shakes and half meals and started the EC stack to get sub 200lbs.

In the last four weeks all of my lifts have increased and I've lost 21 pounds without doing any cardio. I didn't even think that was possible, boy do I look better and feel great. Good luck with the diet, the struggle is worth it.

Ok, Yesterday I got home and fell asleep. So I will take it as my off day. My upper body is killing me ;), guess that is supposed to be a good thing.

Now the bad thing. I woke up around 2 in the morning and had a major cheat. I mean I waws just craving for food and let my hunger get the best of me. Had a bowl, a huge bowl, of rice and chicken. Not good.

Hopefully I will work it off at the gym this afternoon. Overslept again this morning so no cardio so for that intend to up my cardio from the regular 30 minutes to 45 minutes. Will see how it goes.

So that is about it for today.

man, you lost four pounds in a week, everything will be fine, just get back on the wagon as soon as you have picked yourself up from the fall! Besides, chicken and rice? I had a 12 inch pizza last night after watching the england albania game!

All I did this whole weekend was sleep. I think I only ate like 3 to 5 meals between Friday and Sunday afternoon in between sleep.
I guess the hectic week finally catched up with me and my body couldn't take it any more so just shut down.
I will try to get some cardio in later in this afternoon at least.

Not sure how much weight I loss for today since my little brother and sister broke my scale once again. Long story.

Goodluck with the diet, but bro, quit lettin yourself slack off. I know stuff gets rough when work get's busy, ect, but you gotta stick with it. You got about 3 months and a few days to hit your first goal... Gotta get serious, no more slacking off. I'm saying this to motivate you, and not be an ass, I just wanna see you meet your goals.

I know you say you want it bad, but that means sticking to diets and stuff like that too, not just doing cardio 2x a day bro. By the way I am not going for 66 lbs..
Like it says in my sig, I am going for 255, so about 45 lbs
Than I want to go to 215 by December.
