Ok I need some MAJOR Help. I just signed up at fitday.com and it said that my basal met. rate was 1800 (which I agree with), but then it said I ALSO have a LIFESTYLE rate of about 1500, so it tells me that I burn about 3000 cals per day! This is insane, I've only been eating 1500 cals/day. So what do you guys think? Is it just basal or is it also lifestyle??

Sincerely,

Mr. Confused

Those are usually high for a lot of people, I know one I did was about 500 cal. too much. Just adjust your calories and see what gets good results, if 1500 is working, then that is right for you.

What's your lean weight?

It takes into account several additional factors, which includes activity level and thermo affects of food. 1500 does seem a bit excessive, but if you're constently "on the go," it is feasible

I weigh about 160 pounds @ 14% bf....what do you guys recommend for kcal intake??

By the way, just as a side thought, I don't know why this is, but when I was doing morning cardio, I got ripped up pretty quick. Now I've switched to HIIT and it doesn't seem to do jack...so weird...

Try eating the mean of those two, 2000. See where that gets you after 1-2 weeks and add/decrease from there. I hope you're not doing HIIT in the morning on an empty stomach now man.
